About

A letter to the reader,

Jackie Robinson once said, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives”. I made this blog to be a inspiration to any aspiring journalist.  Coming up as a young child, the actions of Robinson  inspired me to become a sports writer. By breaking the baseball color barrier, he proved anything is possible. As I embark on my journalistic journey, I want to inspire others to never stop chasing their dreams.

A little about me, I am a recent graduate at the University of Georgia. I majored in broadcast journalism and was a Grady Sports student. My previous stops were also working for University Housing and being a sports writer for the Red and Black. With that said, I am apart of many organizations on campus like the National Association of Black Journalists, UGA E.L.I.T.E. (online news publication) and the Black Male Leadership Society.  However, my true passion lies with the sports and I cherish each opportunity to write on the daily basis.

My hope as you search my website and connect deeply with the articles. I also hope you develop an opinion on particular issues. With that said, I believe that writing is the way to the soul and I hope readers will find something inspirational on their journey through my portfolio.

Best wishes,

Jaylon Thompson
